39TH
ANNUAL Valley Craft Network STUDIO TOUR
CAPRIKORN FARMS OPEN HOUSE
November
21st and 22nd
10 am
to 5 pm
Yes,
we will be open!
While
some things may be a little different this year, we are making plans for a
fantastic family experience at Caprikorn Farms.
We are
abiding by Maryland State guidelines for Covid-19. At all times, staff and
guests are required to wear masks and socially distance between family groups.
Regretfully, we will not be offering cheese samples or serving lunch this year.
However,
you will be able to purchase your favorite Caprikorn Farms Goat Cheeses, Goat
Cheese Truffles and Dog Treats to take home.
We will
have tours of our new Goat Soap Crafting Facility. You will be able to browse
and purchase from dozens of our handmade goat milk soap bars. Soap makes wonderful
holiday and hostess gifts, especially now. Our new motto is “Stay Safe and Wash
Your Hands”
As
always, you will be able to feed our goats along the miles of fence line on the
farm while maintaining appropriate social distance from others.
David from
Penguin Forge will have a portable station in a separate area on the farm where
he will be performing blacksmithing demonstrations. It is awesome to watch a
lump of metal transformed into a decorative leaf right before your eyes.
We
plan to have numerous hand sanitizing stations. Additionally, each tour,
station and demonstration will be adequately spread out and limited to small
family groups at one time to keep everyone safe and comfortable.
We are
so excited to see everyone and hope that you will join us again this year!
